So recently I've been on Twitter, and participating in #PantryChat hosted by @CompletePantry, every Tuesday from 4 to 5PM eastern standard time (USA). I absolutely love this chat! Today, I had a pretty hilarious exchange with another tweeter, on the subject of home-made ice cream flavors.
Other Tweeter: "great, also coconut icecream with lime zest and pineapple"
Me: "last night was my first batch of ice cream- the saga begins..."
Other Tweeter: "here it starts subversively in the afternoon..."
Me: "and it seemed like the afternoon of another ordinary day."
Other Tweeter: "exactly. no signs of the danger. till the fatal moment one opens the freezer"
Me: "...and reaches the point of no return"
It was good. Very good. And something that really made me think... this person was on the other side of the globe! Ahh, how food brings people together!
Back to the recipe... which I discovered last night.
It's a recipe for cake-batter ice cream. Yes, I know it's not a "gourmet" recipe, but its delicious.
And yes, it would probably be better with home-made cake mix (not from a box). I will try this when I have a little more time.
Here is the link: cake-batter ice cream
You can thank me later.
